Last week was an exciting week for us! We received our first shipments from both of the Japanese fabric companies that we will be ordering from: Seven Islands and Lecien.
We will tell you all about the fabrics from Seven Islands here, with another post coming soon about the fabrics from Lecien.
Seven Islands prints on different weight fabrics, but they all have some linen content in them. Some are 55% Linen, 45% Cotton, and some are 15% Linen, 85% cotton. Except for the last fabric we will show here, they are all 44″ wide bolts. Seven Islands carry a few different designers. Heather Ross’s latest collection “Far, Far, Away III” is wonderful! There is a Seven Dwarfs print that we have in a pale yellow, pale blue and a soft pink.
See the dwarf’s house with their laundry hanging out?
Here is a more detailed print of those laundry lines…..
we have it in two colorways.
And how about these girls playing with their horses? We hope to have a sample bag made up soon for…. toy horses! Or anything else.
Here are the other Heather Ross Prints.
We also have some prints from Echino (Another Seven Islands Designer)
A few patchwork prints,
And some more prints that are quite large and hard to show – better to see them in person, but here is an idea.
Some solids and how about those glasses?
Time for tea? We chose these from Melody Miller’s “Ruby Star Rising” collection. Napkins, dish towels, kitchen curtains?…….
Last but not least are the polka-dots. All of the others are in standard 44″ wide bolts, but this one is on a roll and is 60″ wide. This fabric is really beautiful – pink polka-dots on a brown that has a lovely pink hue. It is also a cotton/linen blend, and has some nice drape to it.
